John joined Means Wealth in 2001 after 20 years in the motel and restaurant business, the last 12 as an owner-operator. He is an honors graduate of Bangor High School and attended the University of Maine, Orono, and Presque Isle.

John and his wife Patti, a retired Command Chief Master Sergeant of the Maine Air National Guard, reside on the shore of Pushaw Lake in Orono, Maine where they raised two sons, John and Jordan. For many years, John served on the Orono/Veazie Little League board, is a past board member of the Bangor Area Children’s Choir, and served as Troop Leader for Boy Scout Troop 478. He now enjoys gardening and boating in his spare time.
