Karen brings with her a wealth of experience in institutional and high net worth portfolio management for some of the world’s leading capital management and banking companies, both domestic and international. As our Portfolio Manager, Karen is responsible for the further development and implementation of our investment strategy. Karen is based in our Greenville, South Carolina office and oversees firmwide portfolio management.

Karen is a passionate advocate for financial literacy, with a mission to empower women and young people. She co-authored the Amazon bestselling book, “Mind of Gold: A Girlfriend’s Guide to Financial Freedom” in 2021, which equips women to overcome their fear of money and achieve financial independence. Additionally, her former company published “Even a Kid: Financial Literacy for Kids,” another Amazon bestseller, to introduce young readers to the fundamentals of starting a business.*

Previously, Karen served as President of the CFA Society of Spokane, Washington, and as a Board Member of the CFA Society of South Carolina. She also co-led the CFA Institute’s “Women in Investment Management Initiative” for the South Carolina Chapter.

An avid traveler, Karen has explored, hiked, or danced in 32 countries and counting. Additionally, she is a Licensed Minister of Dance, helping women overcome childhood trauma. In her free time, she enjoys cheering for her Clemson Tigers and New England Patriots, as well as spending time with her grown sons.
