David G. Means, AIF® Senior Vice President

David, a third-generation financial advisor with over 20 years of experience, joined the Means Wealth team in August 2022.  Previously, he served as a Senior Financial Advisor and Vice President of Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Born and raised in Orono, Maine, David moved to Greenville, South Carolina, to attend Furman University and play baseball. He graduated from Furman with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in 2003.

David’s commitment to providing exceptional financial guidance is underscored by his Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation. This credential demonstrates his deep understanding of fiduciary standards and his dedication to acting solely in the best interests of his clients.

In 2019, David was honored by Forbes Magazine as a “Top Next Generation Wealth Advisor*,” a testament to his commitment to client service and excellence within the financial services community.

At Means Wealth, David specializes in developing personalized investment plans that help clients strengthen family relationships and achieve financial peace of mind.  He believes that Means Wealth’s independent status allows him to put clients first, a principle that has been instilled in him since childhood.

David and his wife, Kathryn, reside in Greenville, South Carolina, with their children, Chase and Harper. They enjoy spending time together as a family, whether it’s attending sporting events, playing games, or vacationing in Maine. David and Kathryn are active members of Grace Church.
